Not very true to the stories, in this case Odin came after Loki.
Modeled after Loki, but with a few changes. A doubling of memory and disk, for a modest increase in power consumption.
I bought an Ebay bundle just for the motherboard, but it also had a nice heatsink which is a big bonus. The memory and CPU it came with were not useful for me.
Odin's PSU did not have any SATA connectors! I had to remove one from another PSU and wire it in, replacing one of the molex connectors.
Supermicro short depth 1U chassis (CSE-512), 350W 80+ Gold powersupply, and motherboard.
I think power usage is close to Loki. I never got final figures before putting it into production.
The dual/quad fan setup seems to use more power than the blower. Though I like the cooling redundancy, I think I'll stick to blowers in the future, for low TDP 1U servers.
